In 1977, my father, James D Jacob Sr., and brother, James D Jacob, Jr (Bud), opened the doors of a new seamless gutter company called Jacob Aluminum. As our product offering grew our name evolved to Jacob Sunroom and Exteriors. I was appointed President in 1994 when my father retired. In 2000 we completed our new 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse and renovation of our existing building. This included adding a 1200 sq. ft showroom so our customers can “touch and feel” our products.
Over half of our business today still comes from direct referrals from satisfied customers. We realize that our most important asset is “you” the customer. We will make every effort to earn your confidence and trust as we work on your most important asset, your home.
Jacob has many accolades to be proud of, including being named to Qualified Remodeling Magazine’s “Top 500 List” of remodeling companies nationwide for the past ten years, being named as an energy star partner by the EPA because of the energy efficient products we offer, being named “business of the year” by the F Hts Chamber of Commerce, being part of a Governor’s Hometown Award for helping rebuild the Center for Autism’s playground and drainage system, but none bigger than our most recent “Torch Award” designation from the Better Business Bureau. This award goes out to companies who practice what they preach when it comes to customer service, before and after the sale. Personally, I have served as chair of the Southern Illinois Remodeler’s Council and as President of the Southern Illinois Home Builders’ Assn.
We are very proud of our product lines, installation quality, and customer service. Our success and continued growth over the past 30 plus years through good and bad economic conditions can be attributed to our dedication to our motto “ Where Quality Counts “.
